                      LHC BRANCH STANDING RULES

COMMITTEES AND BOARDS  
1.  All committee decisions should be reported to the
 board.
2.  Except for the nominating committee, which is 
elected, all committees are open to any member.
3.  Board recommendations affecting the membership 
shall be brought to the general membership for a vote.
4.  Making donations to community organizations which 
make such requests is not in accordance with AAUW 
by-laws.

INTEREST GROUPS
5.  Special interest groups shall be formed at any time 
when three or more members desire to do so.
6.  All monies raised by interest groups shall be shown 
on the finance officer's books.
7.  Non-members are welcome to interest groups as an 
outreach program.  The same fees, if any, apply to 
non-members as members.

GUESTS AND VISITORS
8.  All winter visitors who are AAUW members are
 welcome to meetings and other events.  Those who 
wish to receive the newsletter should pay local dues.
9.  Out-of-town guests, staying withAAUW members for 
AAUW functions and receiving "bed and breakfast," 
should donate $10.00 to EF and/or LAF.  Any invitation 
to out-of-town guests should mention this policy.
