I/We being eighteen(18) years of age or more hereby apply to enter ____________________ in the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce Innertube Float and acknowledge and agree, in consideration of the acceptance of this application by the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce that:

There is inherent risk in floating in or on innertube rafts on the Colorado River. I/We assume these risks and agree and hereby release the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce, BlueWater Resort & Casino, and any other financial sponsors of any organization or individual assisting the said Chamber in the conduct of any phase of the float, their agents, employees, officers, successors, or assignees from any and all liability for loss of any kind sustained by the entrant and/or undersigned, whether by injury to the property or person of the undersigned or otherwise, in any manner arising out of his or her participation either as an entrant in the float or as a spectator thereof or in any way growing out of or resulting from conduct of the float. This release shall be binding on the heirs, executors, administrators or assigns of the participant. Participant will abide by the float rules. Receipt of a copy of said rules are hereby acknowledged. This release shall specifically include any and all event sponsors, La Paz County, and the Colorado River Indian Tribes, as well as the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce staff, Board of Directors and volunteers.

2. GROUPS

  Group tubes must be tied together at all times
Minimum of 21 floaters required, no maximum
3. TEAMS
No Children under the age of 10 unless accompanied by one ore more parents. Two children per parent allowed.
For prizes: minimum of ten (10) persons, tubes tied, must have one (1) person eighteen (18) years of age or over.
  Team tubes must be tied together at all times
Teams may consist of 2 to 20 persons, but only teams with 10 to 20 persons will be eligible for prizes.

Wrist bands must be worn on wrist, number side out. All participants must have wrist band. You must have ID. Individual entry form required for each person entering event. Innertube and coast guard approved vest type jacket required. No equipment will be provided.

RULES

1. No person under the age of ten (10) may enter the float unless accompanied by one or more parent
2. All teams must have one adult 18 years or over in team
3. Teams and Groups must have tubes tied together.
4. Entry will not be accepted for any person under 18 years of age, without consent signature and telephone number of parent or guardian on entry.
5. Team names required for all teams, groups and floats
6. All single floaters must be 14 years or older. All group, team and float participants must be 10 years or older, unless accompanied by one or more parent.
7. Individual entry form is required for each participant
8. All entrants must wear a coast guard approved life jacket (vest type). Not wearing a life jacket disqualifies entrant from prizes and may jeopardize future tube floats.
9. Floats must be supported by a base of innertubes.
10. Entry wrist band must be worn on wrist, number side out
11. Wristband required on wrist at finish for prizes
12. Floats must not have been towed, other than for necessary patrol assistance, and must be floating at checkpoint.
(Checkpoint is at Arizona Shores Resort)
13. All entries should try to stay 50' from shoreline
14. Entries will be disqualified for:
  A. Using fins, paddles or any other type of hand or foot gear
  B. Use of any mechanical propellants
  C. Disposing of or sinking any foreign materials in the river
  D. Dunking, upsetting or purposely deflating tube of another
  E. Requesting and receiving unnecessary tow from patrol boat.
  F. Floats that are towed prior to check point, except as necessary.
  G. Not wearing a life jacket.
15. No transportation will be provided to or from start or finish.
16. All entries with the exception of floats must cross the finish line by 2:00pm, June 5, 2004 to be eligible for prizes.
17. All decisions of the judges shall be final
18. All floats must be removed from beach after landing.
